The Aggrolites on tour in support of new effort

The Aggrolites continue to carry forth the dirty reggae movement with IV, due out on June 9, 2009. IV is a definitive chapter in The Aggrolites journey with 21 original and self-produced tracks; each one a story of their struggle to thrive and their quest to spread soulful reggae music around the globe.

Singer Jesse Wagner boasts, "I'm very excited about our new album. It represents a real optimistic view on today's trying times. We're "Running Strong" and "Feelin' Alright" about how hard we've been working, as you can tell by certain song titles. I'm looking forward to hearing what the people think. We put a touch of all three previous albums into this. From "Dirty Reggae" organ scorchers to those sing-along tracks everyone knows so well from our self-titled record. We also jumped out of the box a bit with songs like "It's Gonna Be Ok" and "Tear That Falls." Here's some advice... listen to the album from track 1 thru 10. When you're ready for something new, start the album from track 11 and listen until it ends. Or just shuffle the damn thing on your iPod like you do everything else. All in all, we are just very proud of this record."

Their roots reggae tinged "The Sufferer" can be heard exclusively on www.MySpace.com/TheAggrolites and www.Hell-Cat.com.

The smooth rocksteady-meets-soul tune "It's Gonna Be Ok" is featured on the new Anti- Sampler 2009 which also includes songs from Mavis Staples, Booker-T, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Westbound Train among others. This digital sampler is available for FREE thru www.Amazon.com.

On The Road Again
On the heels of the highly successful Green 17 Tour with Flogging Molly, The Aggrolites are gearing up to hit the pavement again.

Guitarist Brian Dixon remembers, "To be a part of this tour was a lot of fun. Although we play very different music than them, the ethic of working hard at doing your own thing is what we have in common."

The band will soon debut in South America with headlining shows in Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo and Porto Alegre.

"Brazil's music has been a deep influence for The Aggrolites. It's been a dream of ours to finally bring some dirty reggae to the birthplace of bossa nova. Get ready for an Aggro party," shares organist Roger Rivas.

Their IV album release tour in May/June 2009 will include follow up stops in the Southwest, Midwest and Northeast plus long-overdue return shows in the Pacific Northwest. In Kansas City, The Aggrolites will play the official after-party for the Rise Against/Rancid concert, and in Boston, they will co-headline with Canadian reggae-rock outfit Bedouin Soundclash.

Fans who attend their album release shows between May 15 and June 7 will have the opportunity to purchase IV prior to the official street date. * See Upcoming Shows below.

Festival Time
With their performance at the world-renowned Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival just weeks away, The Aggrolites have just confirmed dates on several massive summertime festivals across the globe. This July, they will join the likes of Weezer and Ben Harper & Relentless 7 at Fuji Rock in Japan.

"The Aggrolites have wanted to play in Japan forever and what better way to make our live debut than at one of the worlds biggest and most respected music festivals, Fuji Rock. Not only do we get to share the stage with influential American legends like The Funky Meters and Bad Brains, but also some of Japan's best Jamaican influenced artists like Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra and The Ska Flames. We can't wait," admits bassist Jeff Roffredo.

Their European festival runs will include Lowlands in Netherlands with Prodigy and Arctic Monkeys; West Coast Riot in Sweden with Social Distortion and Pennywise; Open Air St. Gallen in Switzerland with Nine Inch Nails and Nick Cave; Pohoda Festival in Slovakia with Travis and Orchestra Baobab; Sakifo Music Festival with George Clinton on Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean; the return of Madstock in the U.K. with Madness; Summerjam in Germany with Bunny Wailer and UB40; Dour Festival in Belgium; and Festival Couvre Feu in France.

THE AGGROLITES are more than a band - they are a movement unto themselves. They carry a banner - one created with their own hands. This banner reads, "Dirty Reggae," and represents their signature fusion of reggae, soul, grit and determination. For 7 magnificent years, this dirty reggae bunch has rolled from city to city, across the pond and up main street USA. They are Jesse Wagner (vocals, lead guitar), Roger Rivas (organ), Brian Dixon (rhythm guitar) and Jeff Roffredo (bass).

Out of the Los Angeles school of hard knocks, The Aggrolites have earned a Ph.D in "feel good music." On the road they educate with the thunder and punch of reggae drums and bass, the ripping, soulful melodies of the organ and guitars, and Jesse's voice - a gift from the heavens, a perfectly intact gift from Otis, Sam, Ray and Wilson. Over the course of their career, they have shared the stage with Social Distortion, Madness, Rancid, 311, Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys, Michael Franti & Spearhead, The Vandals, The Skatalites, The Aquabats, Hepcat, Prince Buster and Derrick Morgan.

The Aggrolites have performed at such notable events as Vans Warped Tour, Bumbershoot, SXSW, CMJ, Sundance Film Festival, Sunset Junction, Detour Music Festival and KROQ's Weenie Roast y Fiesta. Their last album, Reggae Hit L.A. (Hellcat Records), was released in June 2007.
