The Englsih Beat to play free concert in LA Aug. 20

Two-Tone ska legends THE ENGLISH BEAT are playing a FREE show in Los Angeles on Saturday August 20th at Pershing Square.

Dave Wakeling recently released an acoustic solo performance version of "The Love You Give" (his first studio recording since 1994) in association with Acoustic For Autism, an organization created to increase awareness, acceptance, and understanding for those with autism. All proceeds from this single are being donated to organizations who are making a direct, positive impact for families and their children. In addition, they recently played a charity event for Love Hope Strength Foundation, which is the world's largest music industry supported cancer awareness group.

This isn't just any ska band, English Beat is THE ska band! They're one of the earliest and most important ska revivalist groups. This year marks the 30th Anniversary of their debut I Just Can't Stop It. Their irresistible blend of ska, punk, and reggae has made them undeniable stars. A few of their chart-topping hits include: "Save It For Later", "Mirror in the Bathroom", "I Confess", and of course General Public's "Tenderness". In addition to their timeless classics, they'll be playing some new songs off of their forthcoming album...
