Descanso Gardens offers Thankgiving feast

This Thanksgiving, why not schedule a gathering at Descanso Gardens? Enjoy a relaxing stroll through the autumn trees – or work off that holiday meal. The Gardens will be open Nov. 24 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $8 adults, $6 senior/students, and $3 children 5 to 12. Children under 5 enter free.

For a truly relaxed holiday, leave the cooking to the experts at Patina Restaurant Group. Sit back and enjoy a traditional Turkey Day feast while someone else handles the dishes! The menu includes:

First course selection: Pumpkin bisque with hazelnut cream; seasonal fruit and berries; arugula salad with goat cheese, red currants and balsamic vinaigrette; classic Caesar salad, spiced croutons, shaved Parmesan; and roasted red kuri squash salad with crispy parsnip ribbons.
Main course selection: Sage roasted turkey and country gravy; apple cranberry stuffing; sweet yam and Yukon Gold potato gratin; JBS potato purée; wildflower honey glazed carrots; homemade whole cranberry compote; rolls and cornbread muffins.

Dessert selection: Apple cranberry cobbler; spiced pumpkin pie.

Dinner is $53 for the general public, $45 for Descanso members. Children 4 to 12, $19. Free for children 3 and younger. Reservations required: www.patinagroup.com/descanso.
