Hi Friends,

I hope summer is clicking right along for you. I'm having a great one. I just wanted to share some gig and music news...

1. Southern and Central California Shows

2. Some GL music in a new film

3. Secret Los Angeles Show Details

4. An ALL NEW Los Angeles Country Music Guide

1. Southern and Central California Shows
We would LOVE to see you out at one of these fine venues enjoying some country music.

07/29/10 - Pocket Goldberg's Singer/Songwriter Showcase - Arne's Cafe, Tujunga, CA
Thursday July 29th, 7pm, FREE!
6864 Foothill Blvd (at Marcus), Tujunga, CA, USA 91042
Pocket Goldberg is truly one of the unique talents of Southern Cal. Bassist, Songwriter, Racontuer - he has run this songwriter showcase for more than a year. Very pleased to return. I'll be doing some solo and some with his house band.

07/30/10 - The Malibu Winery - Malibu, CA
Friday, July 30th, 7pm, FREE!
32111 Mulholland Highway, Malibu, CA
The Malibu Winery is one of the more beautiful places we've ever played. Under the stars with great wine. Bring a picnic and watch the sun go down. Bring a jacket as it can get cold with the ocean breeze. Also, they don't allow children, so keep it 21+.

Friday, August 13th, 8pm, $10
1517 18th St, Bakersfield, CA, USA 93301
Band of Heathens has been in the charts, and the tickets are going to go fast. Best call and reserve a table - (661) 324 - 2557

2. Some GL music in a new film
The new film "Running Mates" starring Henry Winkler, DJ Qualls, and Graham Greene has used a couple of tracks. Three Dollar Whore and Call Your Bluff are in there somewhere. The film is in post-production and winding it's way towards theaters. They had a premiere on one of the movie lots but I was out of town. There is a chance that it will officially premiere at the Toronto film festival, and if so I'll be up there for that event.

3. "Secret" Show, LA Country Music Guide, and New Tunes...
We played an interesting and rare show for some big movie stars. There's a film coming out sometime next year and it has a rodeo theme. We came in to play an event that kicked off the production of the movie. It was so secret that we didn't even know what was going on. It turned out to be very cool and there were a gaggle of very famous, and also very nice attendees. Tom Cruise, Tom Arnold, Tom Skerritt, Tate Donovan, Jenna Elfman, Will Smith, etc. As my mom would say, we were in high cotton.

I have updated a compendium of Los Angeles country music artists. I'm trying to help those who live in LA and want to hear some country music, find a great band that's playing near them. If you don't live in LA, it would be very helpful in finding some great music that's a bit off the radar. You can find it here.

As some of you know the last few months have been about writing new songs and demoing them for a new record. In a month or so I'll have some new rough demos. I'll be putting them up and letting you hear them in order to get some feedback. Thanks for your continued support!!

best,
Grant--
