Funeral Party are thrilled to announce their 2010 US Summer Tour with New Politics. They kick off their in two weeks in Nashville TN, and continue throughout the west coast with a stop in their hometown at LA's Viper Room at the end of July. They will be heading back to the east coast to make their NYC debut, ending up in at the Mercury Lounge on August 18th.
The buzz behind this band in the U.K and U.S. has been set ablaze by their DIY ground breaking performances. The BBC has recently exclaimed that "LA has a new punk disco gang in town", while the MTV "Buzzworthy" describes Funeral Party as "dance punks from a metal neighborhood... lucky for them, it turns out that violent disco is exactly what the East L.A. underground's been waiting for all along." The L.A. Times have also championed Funeral Party over the last few years, and helped launch their career in their buzz bands column. And more recently The NME has hailed, "Not since The Rapture have we got our cowbell fix in such a feet-shifting, hip-swinging blast." Looks like Funeral Party are about the set the world on fire!
The first stunning single, "Finale", will be released to U.S. radio this Fall. After their U.S. Summer tour, Funeral Party will continue on to conquer more of Europe and the U.K. for a stretch of time. In effect, Golden Age Of Knowhere will now released in January 2011 On RCA Records. The band's first full-length is produced by Lars Stalfors (Matt & Kim, The Mars Volta) and mixed by Dave Sardy (Band of Horses, LCD Soundsystem)
