Good to see Stan is still bringin' the Blues. I first saw him in action in the late 70's/early 80's at a long-vanished joint on the north side of Covina. It looked like two or three remodeling projects had started but never got very far. Almost like they should have had a "hard hat area" sign at the door. The gig was called the "Slidewinder Blues Jam", and all sorts of performers joined the fun. There was one guitarist who was missing a hand; he had a metal "slide" with an elastic cuff that he'd put on--dude could play better with one hand than most people can with two. One night I got into conversation with an attractive blonde. A man showed up at the door, and she said, "There's my husband." I thought uh-oh, trouble ahead!, but she introduced me to him and everything was copacetic.

Close call there, Bobby Boy! Thanks for sharing your story. I've actually belly danced to Stan's blues at a charity event~ it was challenging and fun!
