Pasadena night at Staples Center Aug. 4

Pasadena residents, employees, families and friends are invited to the second annual City of Pasadena Night at the Staples Center as the Los Angeles Sparks of the WNBA take on the Chicago Sky on Wednesday, Aug. 4, at 7:30 p.m. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

California Assemblyman Anthony Portantino and Pasadena Water and Power General Manager Phyllis Currie will serve as honorary coaches.

VIP seating in the Pasadena section on the floor is available at a special ticket rate of only $17.50.

A portion of ticket proceeds will benefit Ideal Youth Inc., a non-profit, Pasadena-based organization dedicated to educating students about workforce readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy through hands-on, advanced job training.

Ticket holders in the Pasadena section will receive special cheer cards with water conservation messages provided by Pasadena Water and Power.

Entertainment will be provided by Pasadena-based organizations including the Sigma Betas, Sue B. Dance Company, John Muir High School Cheerleading Team, Neighbors Empowering Youth (NEY) Program Robotics Club and Pasadena Yes Youth Sports.
