Had enough of the sizzlin' summer heat? Come to the Big Bear MountainTwilight Music Festival (formerly “Bluegrass, Bluejeans and Beyond”) on Saturday, July 31, for a mid-summer break from the hot temps to enjoy cool mountain breezes and great mountain music. Teen prices are $10 for ages13-18 and children 12 and under along with music-loving pets on leash are admitted free. Tickets are available online at

Headlining the show is returning favorite, Nathan McEuen (son of Nitty Gritty Dirt Band John McEuen), Scott Gates and Chuck Hailes featuring originals and classics with a bluegrass twist and a nod to the past. AndSligo Rags, one of the top acoustic bands in LA and two-time winner of OC’s Best Folk Band, returns offering Celtic music with just a sprinkling of bluegrass, country, and jazz textures. New to the stage will be Lonesome Otis, a hard-driving classic bluegrass band with an appreciation for a slightly more contemporary feel. And another new sound to the stage is Bruce Guynn & Big Rain delivering big country and some classic soft rock.
Event gates will open at 3:00 pm; parking is free at the Discovery Center; bench seating is limited and first-come; bring your own beach chair. Return to the Mountain Music Festival and rejuvenate your soul for great mountain music.
