Thursday, October 14, 2010, San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino welcomes Gloria Estefan to the Inland Empire in her only Southern California performance of 2010. Tickets are on sale today and available at Ticketmaster.com and the San Manuel Box Office for $90, $100, and $110.
An icon for Latinos all over the world, Cuban-American songstress Gloria Estefan will perform her most famous songs in an exclusive one night only event at San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino. The pop music sensation has sold over 70-million records, recorded 24 albums, and won seven Grammy® Awards. Her most recent album, “90 Millas”, pays homage to the world’s most influential and respected Latino musicians of the past 50 years, all while keeping the authentic sounds of Cuban music.
Estefan began her singing career in Miami, where she was invited to sing with a local band called Miami Latin Boys. The combination of excellent musicians and Estefan’s vocal talent won the city over. The group polished their style and sound to become internationally known as the Miami Sound Machine. They released seven albums over the course of seven years., They made music history with the release of “Conga,” the hit single that appeared simultaneously in Billboard’s Pop, Latin, Soul and Dance charts.
In the late 1980’s, Estefan’s name took center stage, although she was still being backed by the band. A collection of her most popular songs, Greatest Hits, came out in 1992, and the next year Estefan released her first Spanish album, “Mi Terra”, in a decade. She went on to be named the Queen of Latin Pop, compose music for the likes of Jennifer Lopez and Shakira, and become a New York Times best-selling author of two children’s books.
Every Thursday night with headliner entertainment, San Manuel gives away $1,000 just for seeing the show. To be eligible to win, guests only need a ticket to the show, a Club Serrano card and to be 21 or older. Guests can enter beginning at noon on such days. Three drawings will be held on those nights: $250 at 7:20 p.m., $250 at 10:00 p.m. and $500 at 11:00 p.m. Winners must be present.
