Freedom uses his record label to help Haiti

Christopher Laroche, a.k.a. “FREEDOM” was born and raised in Haiti and comes from hard- working, intellectual roots. Throughout his life he has been forced to create his own path, which has helped him become a beloved international singer and songwriter.

With passion and conviction, he founded Freedom Recordz in 2003, working tirelessly on production with Konvict Music and Xyion, Inc. FREEDOM formed SAVE HAITI TODAY with affiliates SOIL, and Xyion, Inc., to join forces with such A-listers as Snoop Dogg, Macy Gray, and Li’l Kim. Freedom Recordz has produced and achieved, and will continue to raise the bar to new heights.

Aside from his musical talents, FREEDOM has also been a strong influence on Haitian policy. He has also released inspiring albums in his native Haitian tongue of “Kreyol.” He is using the power of Freedom Recordz to support, educate, and constructively work toward a positive change in Haiti and other third world nations. His contributions to documentaries, independent films, and charities have helped instill a progressive and positive outlook on the future of this impoverished nation.

It was no surprise that his was an immediate response to the relief and rebuild efforts that arose in response to the catastrophe that befell his birthplace. In memorial to his transcended countrymen, and as inspiration for Haiti, Freedom has put his heart into the masterpiece song MOVE ON, a compelling heart-felt revelation of encouragement, motivation, and vision to help spark the hope and endurance that is the very fabric of his people.

About FREEDOM Christopher “Freedom” Laroche – Biography Christopher Laroche known by his stage name “Freedom” was born in Haiti. He is an international music artist as well as the co-founder and president of Freedom Recordz Inc. Growing up in a third world country’s struggle, Freedom was inspired by his surroundings and at a very young age found that he had a deep and abiding passion for making music. He entered the music world at the age of eleven as a radio DJ playing urban music for the masses of northern Haiti. By the age of thirteen the movement began as he started performing shows all over Cap Haitian.

Along with his emotional message reflecting the pressures of being raised in one of the poorest countries in the world, he used his dreams of change as the foundation to his determination. Constantly putting efforts toward his movement, Christopher and Maurice Laroche co-founded Freedom Recordz Inc. in 2003. He was able to storm the market with his first Creole album “1804: Liberation” in 2004. Following an enormous success, he responded by releasing “The Mixtape” in 2005. He has performed for huge crowds and brings a strong presence and unique energy to the stage.

Amidst all of his musical success, Christopher has also put an effort into his education. He graduated in Music Business from Berklee School of Music in 2006. He is now nearing completion of his second Creole album and also working on his much anticipated first international record, to be released under Universal later this year. His international album features the likes of Snoop Dogg, Lil' Kim, Konvict Musik, Spragga Benz, and many more.

Working tirelessly to create his own original sound, Freedom has created a fusion of Hip Hop, R&B, Reggae, Blues, Roots, Haitian Racine, Soul and every other musical influence on the planet. He writes his songs because he loves making music, and realized the powerful healing abilities that it possesses.

Freedom feels that music helps people expel their pain in a way that can rejuvenate the soul. While giving back to the community with his captivating conscious music, he has also been a physical presence in his country, helping the people and educating the youth in every way he can. Freedom will continue to aid Haiti in their constant struggle, working towards the peace and unity of his nation.

He is on a constant search for new talent and is always willing to collaborate with different kinds of artists. Freedom is highly developed in the full production of his work and as each day passes his ability grows. His words become deeper and more intellectual, his rhythms more spiritual and his poetry more moving. He breaks through barriers with his music and is truly, an inspirational artist.
