Avenged Sevenfold releases new album and offers fan opportunities

Avenged Sevenfold, whose fifth studio album “Nightmare” was released yesterday, July 27th, will chat with fans this Thursday, July 29th at 5PM EDT at
http://ustream.tv/avengedsevenfold.

So after the fans bought a copy of the new album, they’re invited to join the band LIVE to discuss the new record, ask questions and tell them what you think. Also beginning this Thursday, July 29th, fans can purchase a copy of the album at the Best Buy store in Orange, CA (2375 N Tustin Street.) and receive a wristband for a chance to meet the band at their in-store signing on Friday, August 6th. This Saturday, July 31st, A7X will perform a special live concert webcast from Syracuse, NY. The webcast can be seen at:

The deluxe version of “Nightmare” is currently No.1 on the iTunes album chart, and No.3 on Amazon.com. The special edition direct to consumer piece has sold out all 7,000 copies of its limited run. The album’s first single and title track “Nightmare” is No. 2 at BDS Active Rock, and in the top 15 at Alternative Radio. The official video for “Nightmare” premiered on MTV2, MTV.com, and MTV2.com on July 17th and became the second most popular video on YouTube, racking up more than 1,280,865 views last week. In August, Avenged Sevenfold will set out co-headlining the first annual Rockstar Energy Drink UPROAR Festival with Disturbed. Also on the bill are Stone Sour, Halestorm, and Hell Yeah. The UPROAR tour, which will hit amphitheatres and arenas, marks the band’s first tour since the passing of Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan. Mike Portnoy from Dream Theatre plays drums on Nightmare and will also tour with the band for UPROAR.
