This year the Santa Monica Film Festival is proud to announce its official selections and events for the 2010 Santa Monica International Film Festival. A jury consisting of entertainment industry professionals hand-picked eighteen films and filmmakers to be showcased at this years event. The festival’s feature presentation is the hip romantic comedy “Kissing Strangers” directed by local Santa Monica filmmaker David Katz. The films website is www.kissingstrangersthemovie.com.

The independent film festival will include the LGO Filmmaker Networking Breakfast sponsored by La Grande Orange; independent film screenings and premieres; Q&A with filmmakers; and a VIP after-party at the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel 1700 Ocean Avenue, 90401; a four star luxury hotel. The SMFF is presented by Lilly Lawrence with additional sponsorship from Fatburger, Stella Artois, LA County Arts Commission, and Clear Channel Outdoor. The festival is a one-day event scheduled for Saturday, August 7th, 2010. The festival’s main venue is the beautiful Aero Theater located at 1328 Montana Ave. Santa Monica. The SMFF is produced to support the Arts by a local Santa Monica based non-profit 501c3.
All Santa Monica Film Festival screenings and events are open to the public. Pre- registration for a free all screening pass will be available online until August 5th. An All Event Pass is $25.
