The Maine on tour is support of new album

Sire/Action Theory Records artists The Maine will be releasing their major label debut Black & White on July 13, 2010. The Howard Benson-produced Black & White is the follow-up to their 2008 Fearless Records release Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop.

To support their new album, the Tempe, AZ band will be embarking on “24 Hours in Black & White.” At 11:00 pm PST on July 12th, The Maine will kick off a 24-hour whirlwind run around Los Angeles, going to KIIS FM radio, visiting Hot Topic for an in-store, spending time with their fans and much more, all of which will stream live at www.wearethemaine.net, www.myspace.com/themaine and www.ustream.com/themaine. The day will culminate in a MySpace Secret Show at the Echoplex, which will stream live at www.myspace.com/music.

Fans can get more information on the Secret Show by visiting http://www.myspace.com/music/blog/category/secret-shows or www.myspace.com/themaine.

The Maine has been writing and recording and touring nonstop since they were barely out of high school. Their songs have garnered a collective 77 million plays on MySpace and they have sold 113k albums, 674k digital singles and racked up 1.5 million views on YouTube. The five-piece has been a part of four consecutive sold out tours and spent last summer as a marquee artist on the entire length of the 2009 Van’s Warped Tour.

Their nationwide headlining tour, “An Evening with The Maine” presented by Alternative Press Magazine, kicked off July 7th in San Francisco, CA. “An Evening with The Maine” is a unique event that allows fans to connect with the band on a personal level. Each show features a 90-minute set, followed by an audience-wide meet & greet and photo session. This Century will open on the tour, and there will be special guests, giveaways, contests and prizes every night.

New songs “Inside of You” and “Growing Up” are available now at iTunes and all DSPs, and fans purchasing Black & White through iTunes will receive a bonus two-song live performance video entitled "The AP Sessions."
