Unknown Component to release album in October

Unknown Component is the musical project of Iowa City, Iowa native Keith Lynch. Having begun in 2002, to date the project consists of seven self-released albums, and two unreleased albums, "Unreleased Songs Volume I" and "Volume II" - all of which were written and recorded by Lynch. The most recent album, "The Infinite Definitive", is scheduled for release on October 12, 2010.

Lynch is a self-taught musician who plays every instrument on all of the recordings, including guitar, bass guitar, piano and drums. He performs live as a singer/songwriter playing his own compositions on an acoustic guitar.

Iowa Press-Citizen has called Lynch's music "...a slightly mad, seductively dark beauty that rewards close attention with intricately constructed tunes, kinetic rhythm patterns and inventive arrangements."

"There's a wonderful contrast between the sweet minimalist melodies and the harsh ache of Lynch's voice," adds Stylus Magazine.

Unknown Component's musical style is diverse with similarities ranging from Oasis to Radiohead, whereas Lynch's vocals are reminiscent of Kurt Cobain and his thought-provoking lyrics have drawn comparisons to Bob Dylan.

With the release of "The Infinite Definitive", Unknown Component is prepared to reach a wider audience as Keith Lynch has already been recognized as "a one-man band who has got some major talent and really needs to be recognized" (The Rock Scene).

This is his time and we hope you'll agree!
