World Cafe coming to KCSN 88.5 FM

WXPN (http://www.xpn.org ), the nationally-recognized leader in Triple A (Adult Album Alternative) music and a noncommercial radio service of the University of Pennsylvania, today announced that KCSN 88.5 FM, the non-commercial radio station of the California State University Northridge, will air the World Cafe® radio program every Monday through Friday from 7-9 p.m., starting Monday, July 19.

Produced by WXPN, World Cafe® is public radio’s most popular program of popular music hosted by David Dye and syndicated by NPR. The World Cafe® features interviews and live performances by established and emerging artists. Programming for the show covers a myriad of genres including alternative, indie-rock, country, folk, hard rock, world music and more. The program and Dye have won several awards including two NFCB Gold Reel Awards, Album Network’s Best Triple A Air Talent, four Philadelphia Magazine’s Best of Philly Awards, the Philadelphia Chapter of NARAS Hero Award, ASCAP Deems Taylor Award and numerous radio industry trade magazine honors.

“First of all, we are excited that the culturally vibrant City of Los Angeles has a new AAA station with KCSN 88.5,” said Dye. “We are happy that the artists we showcase on the World Cafe® will now be heard there.”
