Concerts for troops to be shown New Year's Eve

AEG Network LIVE, in cooperation with the American Forces Network and many committed artists, managers and labels across the music industry, will present a special New Year's Eve block of programming for the men and women of the Armed Forces serving worldwide. As a show of gratitude for service members' selfless dedication and bravery, three concert films featuring Beyoncé, Garth Brooks, and Celine Dion will be broadcast on December 31, 2007 starting at 9:00pm Iraq local time. Capturing the superstars in recently recorded live performances, this spectacular entertainment event will send some much-needed holiday cheer to the troops.

Participating programs include:

· 9:00 PM** Celine Dion - "A New Day" - The show has closed its unprecedented five year run in Las Vegas but her amazing performance which premiered in cinemas this December will delight the troops again in this special New Year's Special;
· 11:00 PM** Music World Entertainment's "New Year's Salute to the Troops" - a special three hour program featuring The BeyoncĂ© Experience LIVE which premiered in cinemas this November, plus special performances by Jay Z, Destiny's Child Reunion, Lyfe Jennings, Kelly Rowland, Sunshine Anderson, Michelle Williams, T57, Trent Willmon, Billy Joe Shaver and James McMurtry;
· 2:00 AM** Garth Brooks - "One Artist, One City, One Time" - the spectacular live performance beamed to cinemas across the US and Canada this November;
**Local time in Iraq (UTC +3).

I received a comment on this from a very angry reader. He (or she) was not happy about music videos being shown for the troops and felt it didn't really support our military. Unfortunately the writer used so much foul language that I was unable to post their comment.
Writer- if you would like to resubmit your thoughts without the swear words I will share them with my readers. Everyone's opinion is valid and I would like to better understand your feelings on this matter.
