Evol Intent is one of the movers and shakers of the incendiary, modern jungle sound that is drum n bass. Touring everywhere from Atlanta to Australia has allowed Evol Intent to be among the greats to break down, recast, and revolutionize the world of drum n bass into one of the most aggressive genres of music today. Knick, Gigantor and The Enemy’s hardcore punk inspired movement is leaving an undeniable mark on both the U.S. drum n bass scene not to mention the world at large. In a rather short period of time, the trio has built an impressive discography while recording for their Evol Intent label, as well as numerous prestigious imprints such as Renegade Hardware, Outbreak, and Human. The Atlanta-based trio’s sound is clear and unmistakable. Combine dynamic drum mechanics, razor sharp edits, paired with an element of dissonance stemming from their punk youth and you have the politically motivated sounds of their latest LP, “Era of Diversion.” Featuring the trio’s signature hardcore sound, the album holds endless surprises in store. Evol Intent continues to break the mold, experiment with other genres, and transcend all expectations with unexpected turns and different styles.
