See "A Christmas Story" for free on the big screen

Christmas is around the corner and what better way to kick off the arrival of St. Nick than with a free movie screening of the holiday classic, “A Christmas Story.” This free holiday event will take place on Saturday, December 22nd at the Laemmles Playhouse 7 theaters in Pasadena at 10 am. The event is free and open to the public.

The Playhouse District Association is presenting the free movie screening of “A Christmas Story.” Limited seating is available, so make sure to arrive early. Immediately following the movie there will be a holiday concert at the Vroman’s outdoor courtyard. Everyone is encouraged to sing along to the holiday classics. Free special holiday treats will be available to all who attend the festive event.

“We appreciate all our consumers and value their business. We wanted to do something special and the Merry Merry Movie free movie screening is perfect,” says Dan Lien, Playhouse District Association President. “This is our thank you to all our patrons . We wish them a safe and festive holiday season.”

An all-American holiday classic, the 1982 “A Christmas Story” is the tale of nine-year old mischievous Ralphie who longs for his ideal Christmas gift, an Air Rifle that comes equipped with a compass. Mom, Dad, and even Santa tell Ralphie, “No you’ll shoot your eye out.” You’ll get drawn in with Ralphie’s day-to-day journey on his quest to get his Christmas gift. The Christmas Story draws us back to our childhood, the spirit of Christmas, and the relationships and dealings of an American Family.
