Underground Recording Artist, JOHN WEST, Makes His Highly Anticipated Return to L.A . Hotspot, Temple Bar, For An Unforgettable Live Performance!

Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter and Myspace music sensation, John West, is set to draw capacity crowds for his live performance at Santa Monica's Temple Bar. This upcoming show marks the 12 th time that he's graced Temple's legendary stage. Fans can not get enough of John's infectious set, and time after time they've packed the house to jam with their favorite new artist. Friday's show also includes performances from HS Couture and Mulatto. Other notable artists that have performed at Temple include Stephen Marley, Ben Harper, Colbie Cailett, and Chrisette Michele. Channeling the soul of Marvin Gaye and the lyrical sweetness of Jack Johnson, John West croons with a tone all his own. His set is unpredictable and sure to keep the crowd grooving. Audiences can expect to hear his hit single, "Loved You Tonight" and crowd favorite, "Keep It Together" along with other songs off his self-released album. Recent shows have left fans going wild for John's rendition of Bill Withers' "Ain't No Sunshine" and his popular cover of Rihanna's "Umbrella." A true artist and musician, John comes to the stage ready to create brand new songs on the spot, feeding off the energy and inspiration from the crowd.
"What I love about people's reaction to my music now is that people tell me it soothes and relaxes them" says John. "It helps them get through hard days easier. And the reason I wrote half of these songs was to get through my own hard days." John was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, amongst the crawfish and cane fields - a natural source to the bluesy undercurrent of his sound. John views his music career as a way to live a life of public service; that strong sense of community instilled in him by his mother. He has been donating part of his music earnings to charities, including Hurricane Katrina relief and art programs for displaced youth.
