Thursday, July 29, 2010, Jeffrey Osborne, Peabo Bryson, Freddie Jackson, and Howard Hewett bring their classic love ballads and distinct voices to the San Manuel stage for a special night. Tickets available at Ticketmaster.com and the San Manuel box office for $35 and $45.
Jeffrey Osborne
At the beginning of his career in 1969, Jeffrey Osborne joined popular funk and soul group Love Men Ltd. After more than ten year with the group, Osborne went solo, where he went on to produce Top 40 hits such as "Don’t You Get So Mad," "Stay With Me Tonight," and "Love Power," which was performed with Dionne Warwick. His solo career has brought him five gold and platinum albums, including Stay With Me Tonight and Only Human.
Peabo Bryson
Peabo Bryson is a R&B and soul singer, born in South Carolina. He is well known for singing soft-rock ballads, often as a duo with female singers and has contributed to Disney animated feature soundtracks "Beauty and the Beast" and "Aladdin." His greatest solo hits include 1978’s "Feel The Fire" and "I’m So Into You", and the 1984 hit "If Ever You’re In My Arms Again." His two Grammy Awards come from his songs featured in the Disney films.
Freddie Jackson
A trained gospel singer, Freddie Jackson fine-tuned his career at an early age. After completing school, he joined LJE (Laurence-Jones Ensemble) and began performing in the New York nightclub scene. In 1985, Jackson landed a recording contract with Capital Records, and issued his debut album, "Rock Me Tonight". The successful album produced a number of instant hits including "You Are My Lady," "He’ll Never Love You (Like I Do)," and "Love Is Just a Touch Away."
Howard Hewett
Howard Hewett is the premier vocalist in the post-Marvin Gaye era of romantic pop. He first burst on the scene as lead singer of Shalamar, which produced hits like "Second Time Around," "For the Lover in You," and "Dancing in the Sheets." In the 1980’s, Hewett branched off to a successful solo career, where his first single zoomed to number one.
