He Is We cancels California shows due to illness

Alt-pop duo HE IS WE has been forced to pull off of the remaining tour dates with tourmate Bobby Long due to illness. Vocalist Rachel Taylor writes on the band's official site, HeIsWeMusic.com:

"As of last night, I had to make the impossible decision to cancel the rest of our tour with Bobby Long. I am unfortunately very sick- and not the kind of sick that I can fight through on the road. Please know that I will be ok but that I did everything I possibly could to continue this tour. I’d give everything up just to hang with you guys- please know that. I love you all for your continued support. We are working now to reschedule all of the dates that we’re cancelled."

The dates that have been canceled includes tonight's date at San Francisco, CA's Bottom of the Hill, San Diego (7/7), Las Vegas (7/8) and Los Angeles (7/9).

He Is We's tour dates with Andrew Belle are not affected and will continue as planned. These dates are:
Jul 19 – Rhythm Room (Phoenix, AZ)
Jul 21 - Logan Arts Cinema (Logan, UT)
Jul 22- Velour (Provo, UT)
Jul 23 – Soiled Dove (Denver, CO)
Jul 25 – Stubbs BBQ (Austin, TX)
Jul 26- The Prophet Bar (Dallas, TX)
Jul 28 - Revolution Music Room (Little Rock, AR)

Racking up close to an astouding 2.4 million plays to date (2,000 plays TODAY!) on PureVolume, He Is We is an internet success story if there is one. With a new recording deal locked in with Motown Universal in place, the band has been hard at work finishing up their new release (due out later 2010) with producers Casey Bates (Chiodos, Portugal. The Man, Foxy Shazam), Aaron Sprinkle (The Almost, Eisley, Pedro The Lion, Mae), and Dan Romer (Ingrid Michelson).

Replacement dates for the postponed West Coast shows will be announced shortly.
