The Oohlahas on the road, ending in San Diego

Closing in on the one-year anniversary of their self-produced debut album BEST STOP POP, Los Angeles’ The Oohlas will hit the road this week with Maximo Park and Monsters Are Waiting. The 12 city trip begins July 11th at the Paradise in Boston and wraps up at the Casbah in San Diego on July 28th, and will also head in to Canada for a few dates (Please see itinerary below.) Some lucky fans will have a fun chance to receive a postcard from The Oohlas while on the road, by sending their mailing address to: theoohlassendyouapostcard@gmail.com.
(Please see tour itinerary below.)

Since the September 2006 release of BEST STOP POP, The Oohlas – Ollie Stone on guitar and vocals, Greg Eklund on lead guitar and vocals, and brother Mark Eklund on bass, have been touring non-stop. The first half of the year saw the band share the stage with the 88, Pink Spiders, Lola Ray, Under the Influence of Giants, and The Spill Canvas among others. Most recently, the band played New Jersey’s The Bamboozle Fest this past May, then met up with Hot Hot Heat for a handful of dates through the end of the month.

Upon completion of this tour, the band will head in to the studio to begin work on their sophomore effort for Stolen Transmission/Island Records.
