We love what this event has become and really appreciate our fantastic sponsors as well as everyone that has been a part of making it happen. We look forward to hangin’ out with hipsters of all ages at the festival this year.”
In addition to its popularity with the public, THE SUMMER STRUMMER FESTIVAL also received acclaim from the media. Here’s a sample of what the critics had to say about last year’s event:

“Santa Monica’s Summer Strummer proved that a festival in a neighborhood not known as a music hub can attract fans from across the city while giving residents a new reason to dig their side of town…”
--August Brown, Los Angeles Times, October 5, 2006

“…the perfect end to an endless summer.”
--LA Weekly, September 14, 2006

”Structurally, The Summer Strummer will be remembered as one of the best-organized festivals of the year…Situated in a comfortable environment and boasting both a solid line-up and reasonable ticket price, The Summer Strummer was the most enjoyable festival of the summer.”
--Liz Ohanesian, Santa Monica Mirror, September 21, 2006
