Slightly Stoopid on tour with Ozomatli

SLIGHTLY STOOPID (www.slightlystoopid.com ) joins Lollapalooza in Chicago before hitting the road with co-headliner G.Love & Special Sauce and special guests Ozomatli for the Summer Haze Tour. The tour coincides with August 7 release of Slightly Stoopid's fifth studio CD “Chronchitis” (Slightly Stoopid/Controlled Substance Sound Labs.)

One of the most successful independent artists of the past decade, SLIGHTLY STOOPID was ranked in Pollstar's Top 50 touring bands for the first quarter of 2006, packing venues of 2,000-3,500 capacity across the country. In the process of creating their own blend of popular music, Slightly Stoopid has built legions of worldwide die-hard fans often referred to as "Ese Locos" or "Stoopidheads". Entering their second decade of rock ‘n’ roll and still in their twenties, these seasoned veterans have toured with Sublime, The Roots and Dave Matthews Band as well has played some of the worlds biggest festival such as Austin City Limits, Vegoose, New Orleans Jazzfest and this year's San Diego Street Scene and Lollapalooza.

ABOUT SLIGHTLY STOOPID
Founded in 1997 in San Diego California, Slightly Stoopid were signed by Sublime’s Brad Nowell to his own Skunk Records when they were mere teenagers. In the decade since, Slightly Stoopid has created their own success as an independent band, selling over 300,000 CDs on their own record label, Stoopid Records. With “Chronchitis” this Southern California band have cemented a signature sound by fusing acoustic and electric rock with blues, psychedelic dub reggae and hip-hop which has resulted in a more mature, well-rounded band. Produced by Mario C, Paul Leary, Miguel and Chris D, this stellar album features a little help from friends such as G.Love, Guru of Gangstar, Angelo Moore of Fishbone and Money Mark.
